Not sure which sound to pick?
If your child sees a speech-language pathologist, use the sound they recommend. If not, listen for the sound you notice most often in everyday words, and start there. SoundSprout also defaults to a sound of the month, and you can change your child's sound at any time.
Earlier-developing sounds like K, G and F are often mastered before later ones like R, TH, S, Z and L — which is why many older preschoolers and early elementary children are still practicing those.
